What’s In My Pool Bag

We love the water in the summer. From the pool to the waterpark, the lake to the beach, we are all about it!
Over the past 17 years as a mom, I have learned that having a few essentials can help make things more enjoyable for everyone.
Here are my must-haves for my pool/beach bags. All links are affiliate links.
Pool Bag essentials
Beach towels: I like really plush beach towels when I’m not traveling. When I’m traveling or don’t have a lot of space, these Geometry beach towels are great.
Beach hat: I love this hat because it rolls up and is really easy to pack for traveling.
Sunglasses: I love these from Target. If you like trendy glasses, then you’ll love this square aviator style.
Sunscreen: A must for pretty much everyday, but especially at the pool. My teen loves this viral whipped sunscreen. Our family also really likes Sun Bum sunscreen. Great coverage and it doesn’t leave you feeling greasy.
Beach bag: I have a few different bags I love. Scout bags (pictured above) come in a variety of sizes and are awesome because you can easily clean them. This canvas bag is nice because it’s big, but it also fold down to a very compact size. And this mesh bag is great because sand doesn’t get stuck in it.
Megababe: No chafe thanks to this handy stick. A must have in my pool bag. (I also keep this one on hand for my sons.)
Snack essentials
Snackle box: I like this regular sized one because they have different size spots to accommodate different snacks and these mini ones from Target.
Water bottles: My family likes these Owalas and these Stanleys for tote bags because they don’t spill and you don’t have to worry about a straw getting sand in it.
I also love to use an Owala to keep popsicles frozen. Just put some popsicles in and close the cap and you are good to go with frozen popsicles for hours!
Pool/Beach Fun
Goggles: These Speedo mirrored goggles and regular goggles are great for kids. They’re anti-fog, don’t leak and are comfortable to wear.
Dive toys: A summer pool essential. Dive toys are so much fun for kids of all ages.
Pool floats: When we are traveling, I love these pool floats because they don’t take up much space, and they are very comfortable. For more summer pool finds, check out my favorites, here.
Tidal ball: This is my favorite game to play on the beach and it’s so small that you can easily pack it in a carry on.
I hope this list inspires you to keep a few key essentials in your pool bag this year. It truly does make everything more enjoyable for everyone while at the pool or beach.
