Mom, Dad and Scrapbooking!
This weekend Mom and Dad came to Nashville for a short weekend visit. We had a great time hanging out, shopping, playing Yatzee (I won of course), doing a few things around our condo and just being together. Our time was too short, but we will be together again soon.
Now I am working hard on my scrapbooking again. The projects I am currently working on:
-My application to be part of the Scenic Route design team (a design team is a group of individuals a company selects to represent them in the scrapbook community. Typical opportunities/responsibilities include designing pages using the cmpanies prdoucts, submitting those pages to magazines and on the company’s web site, etc.) It is due Friday and is coming along beautifully.
– I’m submitting a Christmas page to Simple Scrapbooks today. I don’t want to post it in case that would hurt my chances of getting it published, but hopefully you will see it on its December pages.
-Simply Southern Scrapbook Convention – This convention is Sept. 7-9. I am taking two classes on the 7th and one on the 9th. Additionally, I am volunteering in three more classes, which is fantastic because I will surely learn something new! (*Matthew likes it because it gives me less time to shop- lol) All the classes I am taking are taught by Caroll Bunn, who is supposed to be amazing, according to the CK Message Board ladies. I am also working on my contest entry for the convention (theme: Couples). Lastly the convention is doing a special volunteer project where they are collecting 6×6 pages to donate to Make a Wish kids. So I am trying to whip up a few of those too.
WHEW! It’s a good thing I love scrapbooking.
