Dad’s 50th Birthday Party
Saturday night, after the shower, we celebrated my Dad’s 50th birthday with a big bash at his gun club. So many people were there – family, old family friends from Target (where Dad worked for 25 years and Mom still works), new friends from the club, etc. It was a really special party.
I made a slideshow of about 100 photos from Dad’s 50 years. It was really fun to have everyone watch and enjoy it – especially Dad.
Here is a picture of the fam, right before we left. You can tell how exhausted I was by this point. When Matthew and I got home to my parents’ house, I took a long soak in the tub. 🙂
What a beautiful tribute to your father. I did not have a real relationship with my earthly father growing up but now at the age that I am (40) I now feel blessed to know him now. We talk on the phone, he emails me to check up on me and the family. Husband- Andy and 4 kids. You have a beautiful family and look so happy. Through many years of prayers and yearnings- God has given me the protion allotted to me. I am content with that. :)Maybe I will do something special for my dad for his birthday.
Thanks for the encouragement and the ideas. I thinkyou look radiant even though you said you were exhausted. Been there done that.
Again I so enjoy reading your blog and watching you as you progess thru this last stage of pregnancy.
God Bless,
Michele
What a wonderful thing for you to do Jessica! I’m sure your dad felt totally blessed.
