Daily Decembers- Week One
I have been so preoccupied with getting things ready for The Best in Baby Scrapbooking that I haven’t done anything beyond take pictures for my Daily December album. Since I probably won’t have a chance to get my pictures developed and into my album for a few more days, I thought I would post them to the blog with some captions to help me stay on track mentally.
December 2
Tuesday was all about getting unpacked and getting laundry done from our week in Wisconsin. This is how things looked when I got started. I didn’t finish everything Tuesday night, but I made a good dent in things.
December 3
Wednesday I worked all night on samples for The Best in Baby Scrapbooking. I am blown away by all these awesome products. Here is a sneak peak of Monday’s project and products. 🙂
December 4
Matthew spent 12 hours with Elias on Thursday. They are so sweet together. It is clear Elias adores his daddy. After work I went to Cider Carols, a fundraising event for The Hope Clinic, which Angie emceed. It was a lovely evening. The photographer there took a picture of Angie and me, so I will hopefully be getting that soon. (my little camera was dead in my purse!)
December 5
Friday night we worked on getting our decorations up for Christmas. Elias seemed fascinated by all the lights, ribbon and bells. It was a sweet evening as we listened to Christmas carols and decked the halls.
Are you doing a Daily December album of some kind? If so, how is it going? Maybe you are just taking pictures each day… it doesn’t have to be elaborate. Just some way of chronicling this special season.
I”m doing a December Daily, and was faithful up until last night! I’ll catch up on yesterday’s today, though, and am sure that even amidst vacation I’ll be able to complete it. I set mine totally up already with Kraft paper for the pages and only used green and gold for everything else, and am focusing on journaling right now. If later on I want to embellish it, I will, but for now, I’m just working on the journaling. 🙂 Can’t wait to see what yours looks like!
I’m also doing one, but probably backwards. I haven’t even gotten supplies together yet, just taking pictures and chronicling each day what we have done in my calendar. I love it because I am trying to make sure I having done something Christmas related with my 3 year old son everyday. So I am thinking ahead each night about what we can do the next day. I am so excited to get it completed and look back on the month. Thanks so much for the idea!
i am doing a dec daily project. unfortunately i did not have time to get an album together yet so i am doing a blog post a day so when i have the album completed all i have to do is add the photos and journaling from my blog….
I am doing a Daily December album, as well as trying to blog every day of December so I can keep it all clear. Mine’s a little different because I’m so very busy during December, that I knew what I’d be doing on almost every page, but I did leave a few pages blank to just leave it all up to what happens. I try to blog my pages as well because a couple of my friends have seen the blank pages and want to know what I’m doing with it.
I’ve really enjoyed this project more than I thought I would…
I think that picture of you and Elias by the tree put a perma-smile on my face for the day! 🙂 I’m so glad you all had so much fun, and you’re right ~ it’s pretty obvious your boy loves his daddy. So sweet.
And I think it’s funny how I don’t have a baby but I can’t wait to see all your “best in baby” stuff next week. I think that’s the sign of a true scrapbook junkie 🙂
I LOVE that picture of you and Elias!!! That’s what Christmas is about!!! xxx.
Love your pics, he is a cutey! I am doing Shimelle’s Journal for the second year and loving it!
The picture of you and Elias is adorable! You both look so cozy!
I am doing one thanks to inspiration from your album and the one on Ali Edwards blog. This is such a great project for me because I easily fall behind when I don't have an album pre-designed like my December album & usually scrapbook the "big stuff." I like keeping track of the little things we do during December to get ready for Christmas and enjoy winter. I have not put together the pages every single day, but I am journaling daily & snapping pictures and then put them in the album every couple of days. Thanks again for the idea!
I think I need to put a Bumbo seat on Ivy’s Christmas list! And I’ll see you at BlissDom! : )
Steph
I love the Daily December album idea! I actually have been doing this since the day my baby was born and hope to be able to do it with all my kids and family as it grows…I am putting together an album so that I can just stick in the pictures after getting them developed and do that every few months. I think it will be a great way to see our family grow and change over the years!
