Easy Craft: Mod Podge Door Monogram
A door monogram can be a fun, decorative DIY for your home!
Decorating our new home has been a slow process. Our old condo was so tiny, there wasn’t a lot of opportunity for decorating. Now that we have a little more space, I am having so much fun getting creative.
Adeline used to share a room with Elias and I didn’t invest in anything special decoration-wise when she was born. Now that she is in her own room, I am slowly gathering girly items for her space.
I picked up a large A at a craft store for a $3 a few weeks ago thinking I could cover or paint it for Adeline’s room. (You can also find wood letters on Amazon.) Then, last weekend I received a big box of new products from American Crafts.
One product I immediately was drawn to was the Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic glittery flower paper. I knew it would be perfect for that wood A and decided to create a door monogram for her room.
During family movie night last Saturday (we watched Bolt!), I painted the edges of the letter A, then coated the wood in Mod Podge and adhered the paper to it. Once it dried, I used a razor blade to cut the monogram A out.
I then sanded the edges to smooth out the paper, adhered velcro to the monogram and attached it to her door.
Super easy and SO cute. It makes me smile every time I walk by her door.
When Adeline saw it she kept yelling “A!”
The new Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic line is available for a limited time at JoAnns. I will be sharing more of the products tomorrow on Project Life Tuesday, but if you are out shopping this week, definitely look for it!
Easy and cute craft for your week! I hope you’ll try this door monogram DIY.

So pretty! Such a great and simple way to show off some favorite paper.
Our kids like their initials on their door too. That paper you chose is so pretty, no wonder she likes her new A.
