Assembling Sam’s Club Patio Set & Savoring Life
We have been so excited to enjoy the beautiful weather on our deck. It was a huge selling point of our home, which we moved into last fall.
However, since we used to own a small condo with a tiny deck, we were starting with essentially a blank slate! All we had on our old deck was a small table and chairs and the set didn’t come with us to the new house.
Therefore, we were so thankful when Sam’s Club offered to send us a new patio set for review, and the long Memorial Day weekend provided the perfect opportunity to set it up.
It is from the Renaissance collection and I am in. love. It seats six and is so, so lovely.
Seriously, isn’t it perfect?
When I started looking at different patio sets, I was surprised to find such a huge selection at Sam’s. Not only did they have many at my local Sam’s (including the Renaissance set that I received), but they had an even larger selection online. (You can actually shop Sam’s Club online even if you aren’t a member, but there is a 10% service charge.)
Moreover, the quality for the price was fantastic.
The set arrived last week. Did you know that Sam’s delivers? I wish I would have taken a picture of all the boxes! We opened some in the garage, then took the rest to the deck.
I handled getting the chairs out and de-bubblewrapped and Matthew unboxed table.
The kids had a blast playing.
Matthew first assembled the table, which came together quickly, then the chairs. By this point, Adeline had seen enough to feel that she would be helpful. 🙂
Everything went together very easily. (We both appreciated how clearly everything was packaged and labeled, especially since we aren’t the handiest people on the planet.)
We absolutely love the set and know that we are going to create so many memories around that table. After school yesterday the kids and I had some watermelon and just had fun chatting. The kids especially love the table’s built-in lazy susan, so we were sure to spin that a few times. I must agree, it is pretty awesome!
The chairs all rock and spin, which Elias thinks is the coolest thing he has every experienced. I love seeing the world through his eyes.
We are planning to get a matching umbrella for the set and will undoubtedly enjoy many dinners on the deck in the months and years to come.
It is the simple things, like time around a table, that make life joyful. As you go into the weekend, look for an opportunity to enjoy your family. Make memories. Savor the little moments.
Because you can never get them back.
Disclosure: This is the first in a series of four summer posts I’ll be writing about this beautiful set. Sam’s Club provided the patio set for my review, but all thoughts are my own.
Beautiful, Jess!
That’s the exact set I’ve had my eye on for our porch. It’s gorgeous. We bought their outdoor coach/seating area and love it.
I want that next! It is such a pretty, timeless set.
Love that set! I saw it yesterday at my local Sam’s. If we didn’t already have one I would be making a case to get that one. 🙂
Have this set from SAM’S and love it!
Saw it yesterday at Sam’s….Love it !!!
I was so glad to see you in some of the pictures. Since I was the main photographer in the family, I nearly didn’t exist in photos for many years. I’ve been asking (hard to believe now that I am sixty) that people take pictures of me once in a while. Good work. Nice party. And best of all you have a happy family.
Yes, I try to get in pictures regularly. My mom isn’t in many of my childhood pictures.
Looking at a Sam’s Club patio set and wondering how the quality of your patio furniture has lasted after a year? The set you have is sold out, but there is a similar set that we’re thinking about buying. Thanks!
It is great. I will say we regret not taking in the cushions because they got a bit weathered, but other than that, we are very happy.
