Review: The Best Anti-Aging Cream
I’ll admit that I don’t use any sort of anti-aging cream on my face – except the sunscreen built into my foundation.
I’m sure that day will come, but I’m just not there yet.
So when Olay sent me their Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream to review, I turned to Matthew.
Yes, my husband. 🙂
That’s true love when your husband will help you review beauty products.
In all seriousness, Matthew is 9 years older than me and frankly, he loves using anti-aging cream on his face.
I thought about taking a picture of his product stash, but decided against it. You’ll have to trust me.
I used to tease him a good bit (I don’t know many dudes that use anti-aging cream), but I don’t anymore. I think it’s cool that he wants to take care of his skin – and it does look great. (I tried to barter making the kids’ lunches (he makes them every morning) in exchange for letting me take his picture with the cream, but he wouldn’t agree. ha! That was going too far, he said.)
Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream is their best-selling product and it has been reformulated to include skin energizing technology to accelerate the appearance of anti-aging results.
Here’s what Olay sent to me about the product:
Research conducted on nearly 2,500 women around the world shows new Olay Regenerist with Skin Energizing Technology hydrates to improve skin’s responsiveness and fight the look of Skin Fatigue by accelerating surface layer cell turnover, increasing brightness and decreasing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
- Regenerates skin’s surface layers up to 2x faster after 5 days
- Hydrates better than leading luxury creams
- Reverses 10 years of wrinkle appearance after just 4 weeks
Matthew has only been using the cream for about 10 days, but has already commented on how much he likes the cream compared to other products that he has tried.
I checked it out when I was at Walgreens and I liked the the price was very comparable to the other drugstore brands available (around $20) – and definitely cheaper than luxury creams.
Do you (or your husband) use a drugstore anti-aging cream? Have you used Olay Regenerist before?
Disclosure: This is the fourth and final post in a series sponsored by P&G. (Read my other P&G posts: Vidal Sassoon, Cover Girl 3 in 1 foundation and Bounty) All thoughts are my own.
Whatever he’s doing is definitely working! I would have NEVER guessed that he is 9 years older than you!
I had no idea MPT robbed the cradle; you’re so mature and HE’S such a kid, y’all hardly seem almost A DECADE apart.
Not that you look old; he just has a babyface :).
I love my Therderm skincare line but I don’t use their anti-aging products (I gotta draw the line at expense SOMEWHERE). I’ve wondered about Regenerist before and love knowing someone who’s tried it. The price point definitely makes it a product I’ll likely purchase in the near future; for $20 it’s worth finding out if it works for me.
Now that is love, right there! Love that he tried the cream for you. I have used Olay in the past and the one thing that sticks with me is the quality for the price. It’s such a bargain compared to similar products.
I never really thought those creams did anything…Now if there were a cream that would REALLY help stop aging that would be something else
I’ve never tried Olay Regenerist, but I do use Neutrogena Healthy Skin Eye Cream, and have used a similar eye cream since college. I have to say that I really don’t have many wrinkles or crow’s feet around my eyes, but almost all my friends my age do (I’m 37). I credit it to starting the eye cream BEFORE the damage was done. So… you might want to think about using that stuff now while you still have your young skin to protect! 🙂
Both my Hubs and I use anti-aging creams (him for the anti-aging, me for the moisture). I like the Olay regenerist, but he prefers some fancy dermatologist-recommended stuff. I actually like the Olay super moisterizing one even better than this one, and it’s a bit cheaper, which is nice.
Hi Jessica,
Can’t help myself, the best sunscreen you can use is one with zinc oxide. I work for a dermatologist, a sunscreen in your foundation is not enough protection. The best anti- aging product you can use is a good sunscreen. We recommend Elta MD
And Colorscience.
I have been using the new product on the market called blur … I’m very impressed I tried it as a sample, but now you have peaked my interest I will have to try this one also !!! You do come from young looking genes on your mother’s but alittle extra help always helps down the road 😉
Love that he is trying it – I’ve been using it every day FOREVER! LOVE IT!
I’ve never used more than a basic moisturizer and must admit as the years go by anti-aging creams keep catching my eye. Thanks for sharing!
I haven’t tried it…but now I’m tempted to!
I generally use department store skincare, but when I’ve tried Olay products I’ve been very pleased! I love that your husband tests your skincare products. What a good sport!
I really like the Olay products I have tried. I have used MANY expensive brans but I keep coming back to Avon. You don’t need to spend a bundle to get great skincare.
I have yet to try it but have heard great things. Glad you had a good experience!
Howdy! This post couldn’t be written any better! Reading through
this post reminds me of my old room mate! He always kept
chatting about this. I will forward this article to him.
Fairly certain he will have a good read.
Many thanks for sharing!
