Inspiration: Birthday Party Photo Books
At the end of the year, I had a bunch of photo book credits to use up on Shutterfly. Thankfully, I followed my own tips for creating photo books fast and was able to make several really cute ones.
I am always inspired when I look at other people’s photo books, so wanted to share two of the books here. Both books are from the kids’ birthday parties last year. I make a photo book from their birthday parties every year. I find that I take SO many pictures that a photo book is a cost-effective way to print the photos. Some of the photos are in my Project Life albums as well.
Our annual birthday party photo books are some of our family’s most looked at photo books. The kids adore them – and so do I! I hope you enjoy looking at them today.

I did a mini project life album for Blake’s first birthday party and had people fill out journaling cards at the party (with their wishes for him on his first birthday) and then made sure to get a picture with each person with him at the party – then I slid the card into the slot next to their picture with him and it made it super easy to do – he LOVES looking through it already and it’s one of my favorite albums I’ve ever done – it might be a yearly thing I do too!
very cute! How does one accumulate extra credit for books?
I just had bought a variety of Groupons, etc.
These are adorable books. I use shutterfly to create my family photobooks and have been wanting to get into creating project life albums. How do you decide what to put into project life and what goes into shutterfly? thanks!
