Happy 4th Birthday, Adeline
My darling Adeline,
Today, you are four years old. When you are a parent, people will tell you to savor the little years, for they fly by.
Listen to those people, because it is so true.
You are growing up so fast. I can’t believe that just a few years ago I was holding you for the first time. Now you are running, dancing and singing all day long.
You love to craft and tell us all the time that you are an artist. Your imagination is vivid and you are always making up stories, mostly revolving around princesses. You also are the quickest to remind us to pray, especially on the way to school and before meals. I love seeing God’s light shining in you.
You are incredibly articulate for one so young, and when you use words like “Actually” I can’t help but shake my head in amazement. It is like I am getting a glimpse at teenager Adeline.
Without question, you are the feeler in our home. You can (and do) cry at the drop of a hat. We are working on not crying over little things (like lost shoes and spilled perler beads), but we never want to stifle your heart. You have a beautiful soul and you love deeply.
I love watching you play with your brothers. With Elias you are silly, engaged and your true self. He is your best friend. With Ezra you are tender and joyful. He lights up when you talk to him, and you do the same. I can’t wait to see your relationship thrive.
You will change the world, Adeline. Your passion, persistence and drive will serve you well.
Nearly every day, you tell me I am your best mommy and your best friend. I couldn’t be more proud to be both of those things to you.
Happy birthday, sweet girl.
I love you.
Love,
Mommy

You do a great job as a Mom, Jessica and you are a great example for your kids to follow. Keep it up!
Happy birthday, beautiful Adeline! It has been a joy to watch you grow through your mother’s words and photos these last 4 years! God bless you!!!
Happy 4th birthday to your sweet girl! Yes the time does fly. I can’t believe my first baby girl is now officially a teenager!
