How to Throw a Taylor Swift Album Release Party
Taylor Swift’s new album, The Life of A Showgirl, is set to release on October 3rd and if you’re a Swiftie, then you’re probably thinking about having a Taylor Swift listening party. I’ve compiled all the best resources and ideas so you can throw the best album release party.
My teen daughter and I are so excited to do this again this year. We hosted a listening party for Taylor Swift’s Tortured Poets Department album and it was such a great time. This year we are doing a brunch the day after the album launches (because we are going to the movie theater Friday night to see the Taylor movie.)

Naturally, the first thing you need when throwing a listening party is the actual album. Grab your favorite version of The Life of a Showgirl on CD, vinyl or digital download and make sure you have the right equipment to play it on. This bluetooth speaker is so nice and would be perfect for listening to the album.
Invitations + Decor
Set the stage for a fun Taylor Swift listening party with the best Life of a Showgirl decor. From backgrounds to balloons, table decorations and dinnerware, your home will be transformed.
Don’t forget the invitations. Make your own or order through a site like Etsy. I found so many fun options that would be so easy to print at home or your local Staples print shop.
What To Wear
A Taylor Swift listening party is not complete without your favorite attire. The Life of A Showgirl can be a fun way to dress in your sparkliest showgirl attire, or keep it low-key with a pretty orange cardigan. Throw on a feather boa or a fun feather headband and add your favorite friendship bracelets. This can be as dressy or as casual as you would like. Have fun with it.
Activities + Crafts
Plan for a fun activity or craft while you’re listening to the album. We had so much fun making these DIY painted records for The Tortured Poets Department release. They’re really easy and inexpensive to make.
