The Life of a Showgirl Bedazzled Records DIY: Taylor Swift Craft

If you are looking for a fun Taylor Swift craft for a Taylor Swift party, bedazzling albums is the perfect project. Read on for the supplies and instructions.
For the release of Taylor Swift’s new album The Life of a Showgirl, we are having a listening party with a few of my daughter’s friends.
I wanted to prepare a simple Taylor Swift craft for them to do while they listen to the new album. They had so much fun creating these DIY painted records last year for the release of The Tortured Poets Department that I knew I wanted to do something similar again.
This year we’re going to bedazzle records, which feels like a fun and festive project to go with the Showgirl album theme. I found some old 45 records at our local used book store for 25 cents, making this such an affordable craft! You could also likely find them at a thrift store or even a buy sell trade group on Facebook. Adeline and I made one in advance to have a sample. Here is my supply list and a few tips. Record Bedazzling Supplies
If you want to bedazzle records while listening to the new The Life of a Showgirl album, you only need a few supplies and you may even have them on hand.
Records (old and scratched are perfect!) – The smaller 45’s work great for this craft, as the project will come together faster.
Wax pencil & tray set – We used this set and it made picking up the gems so easy. Comes with 5 pencils, 5 trays, pencil sharpener and tweezers.
Rhinestone set – 30,000 resin rhinestones in all the colors, tweezers and glue. Perfect for choosing your own colors for bedazzling. If you are having a party, you might want to get two or three boxes to make sharing easy and ensure you have enough glue (one tube per person is ideal.)

Tips for Bedazzling records
This is a quick and easy craft that takes anywhere from 20-45 minutes. It’s perfect for teens and tweens.
Line work stations with paper or wax paper to make it easy to clean up. Or cover the table with a disposable table cloth.
Don’t use too much glue — a little goes a long way.
Pick colors in advance. It makes it easier if you know what colors you want to use on your record label.
Have fun – there’s no right or wrong way to do it. The albums will look amazing!
Paint pens are fun and easy to use if you want to write on the album.
This craft is so simple and easy. Adeline absolutely loves how it turned out and can’t wait for the girls to make theirs for the release party.
